WEF Recognizes and Thanks Local Business Partners for their Support
Each year the Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF) awards approximately $40,000 to the Wakefield Public Schools (WPS) through its annual Grant Program. The Grant application period is open now through mid-October, and WPS teachers, administrators and PTOs are encouraged to apply for funding to support curricula-related enrichment activities for all grades.
Funding for WEF’s annual grant program would not be possible without the community’s participation in a number of fundraisers throughout the year. In addition, WEF relies on the generosity of local businesses to make an annual donation to WEF to cover the operational expenses necessary for WEF to run its fundraisers. As a result, all funds raised go directly into the grant program. These businesses are labelled “WEF Partners” and are featured in WEF’s annual school calendar and on WEF’s social media throughout the year. WEF Partners are crucial to WEF’s success and WEF would like to thank them and encourage the community’s continued patronage of these local businesses.
