Woodville Students, Staff, and Volunteers Honored at WEF’s Celebration of Learning

The Wakefield Educational Foundation recently celebrated Woodville School students, staff, and volunteers who exemplify the core values of their school and go above and beyond in their efforts and contributions to the Wakefield Public Schools. Principal Matthew Carter congratulated fourth grade awardees Westley Chase, June Huskey, Matthew Mejia, James Nadworny, Ethan Nickerson, Albena Pavlova, Heloísa Rodrigues, and Anna Catherine Stella on being recognized by their peers as “leaders inside and outside the classroom.”  Kelsey Dugan, “a dedicated member of the first-grade team, [who] consistently demonstrates excellence both as an educator and as a person” was honored as one of Woodville’s two staff awardees. Principal Carter introduced the second staff awardee, Kate Brownson, a member of the third-grade team at Woodville. Carter said Brownson is respected and seen as a leader among her colleagues, but “it is her ability to connect with students and build strong, lasting relationships that truly sets her apart.” Volunteer and Woodville PTO Co-President, Jackie Natale, was noted as someone who is “always willing to lend a hand” and for playing “a significant role in bringing enriching opportunities” to Woodville. Volunteer Kayte Muse was recognized for her lasting artistic contributions to Woodville’s playground including collaborative artwork and a unique chalk walk, all which have “added vibrancy and energy to the space,” lauded Principal Carter. WEF congratulates Woodville’s honorees on their lasting contributions to educational excellence.
